His dad, Inder Raj Anand, was a notable essayist in the entertainment world, yet he didn't need Tinnu, or his more youthful sibling Bittu, to enter this industry. Inder Raj Anand would agree that that it was not the most ideal spot for them. In the expressions of Tinnu Anand: "..when I let him know I needed to coordinate movies, he was exceptionally vexed. At last, however, he saw that I would have rather not done anything more. So he sent me to the best school - the Satyajit Ray School. Mr. Ray and my dad were companions, so my dad requested that he encourage me."

Tinnu had been given a job in K. Abbas' film Saat Hindustani when.. "At night, I was given the difficult undertaking of offering Amitabh Rs.5000 for the whole film, whether it required a year or five.. Amitabh hesitantly concurred as he was frantic to act. He got the job of the artist's companion in Saat Hindustani. At the point when my dad got the letter from Satyajit Ray saying I could work with him, I needed to surrender Saat Hindustani. So I left for Calcutta and Amitabh got the job of the writer that I should play.

(on working with entertainers who reliably make an appearance very late and put in a couple of hours) "I give all the credit to Veeru (Devgan) who showed me how to forget what I had realized. He let me know that assuming that you need to get by in this industry with entertainers like these, you ought to figure out how to shoot a film when the entertainer's not there!" and: "I felt exceptionally glad when I showed Amitabh a scene among him and Amjad Khan in a naming studio one day. He was stunned and said 'Yet I never shot with Amjad'".[1]
